The focus is on gentle, tender, consistent care for your little one at this age. The curriculum we use at this age is created especially for infants and toddlers. Our objectives are to develop responsive daily routines and meaningful learning experiences to support your child’s development and growth. At this level, we are guided through 38 appropriate learning objectives that help us to achieve our goals. Infants are observed and encouraged in their interactions with other infants and caregivers. The infants’ preexisting patterns for feeding and sleeping are respected and incorporated into the child’s routine at the center. You are provided with a daily report so that you always understand your baby’s day!

We remain focused on consistent, tender care for your busy toddler. The Creative Curriculum® continues with the whole-child-based infant/toddler program and expands as your little one’s sense of adventure grows. Our toddlers enjoy daily indoor and outdoor activities. We include sensory play, art activities, music, and small group times for stories, songs, manipulative, and gross motor skills. The emphasis remains on responsive daily routines that give your child a sense of security and familiarity. Learning through play continues to support your child’s growth and development. Daily reporting continues to keep you informed of your child’s activities and progress in the classroom.

In the Preschool Program, we begin to prepare children for life inside and outside the classroom. The curriculum changes slightly at this level as we follow the Creative Curriculum®. We integrate beginning Mathematics and Literacy skills, along with the social-emotional, physical, and cognitive skills they need for Kindergarten readiness. The children learn through adventures in art, creative exploration, science, and nature. There is a great emphasis placed in the classroom on sensory experiences, language arts, and music. As part of our language exploration, we introduce little learners to basic Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL).

This program for school-aged children provides before and aftercare with an option for transportation to and from school. Children enrolled in this program will be offered breakfast in the morning and an afternoon snack when they arrive back at the center from school. In the afternoon, the students will have homework assistance and be offered help with other school projects they may need to complete. Afterschool art, science, and/or cooking lessons are provided during the week to keep the kids engaged in learning while having fun. This program also offers extended hours for parents who work non-traditional hours past 6 pm. Any child enrolled in the aftercare program past 6 pm will be served dinner at 7 pm.

Our Summer Camp program for kids aged 6 – 12 years provides the enrichment your child needs during the summer months. Our program is fun and educational, as we tailor activities to allow your young ones to explore and develop their interests and abilities. Frequent field trips help provide mental stimulation outside the classroom and a lot of fun! Qualified, caring staff members take the lead and ensure your child has a safe, enjoyable summer with us!

At Sanbridge Early Learning Center, we understand that your work schedule doesn’t always fit between the hours of 9-5. We offer other programs that can provide excellent care for your child while you work. These programs include extended care and overnight care. We also provide drop-in care and weekend care… so you don’t have to miss work! Having child care when you need it… that’s what Sanbridge is all about! This program for school-aged children provides before and after care within the Prince George's County Public Schools. Each program is housed in an Elementary School. Our before and after care services begin at 7:00 AM and operate until the start of the school day. The afternoon session begins at the end of the school day and operates until 6:00 PM. A nutritious snack that is prepared by the cafeteria staff is provided each day. Each program is staffed with a Site Director, teacher, and aide. However, an approved substitute may be used if a staff member is absent. Sanbridge will use the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt curriculum. This curriculum will provide professional development for teachers. It will offer professional learning courses, coaching, and leadership advisory to address today's challenges. It is a Social Emotional Learning Curriculum. Children will have the ability to use materials in reading and mathematics to support the regular school program.
